Our Story

 

Edelheiss Wine is a newly created company that was founded by Rodney E. Foster
and Reemt Peters. 

 

Mr. Foster is a native Washingtonian who works in commercial real estate and is also
a consultant to the Federal Government to oversee multi-million dollar commercial properties. Mr. Foster’s love of fashion, travel, and the luxurious lifestyle took him to St. Moritz, Switzerland where he developed a love for Gluhwein, or Hot Mulled Wine, that originates in Germany.  

 

Mr. Peters was born and raised in Munich, Germany.  He started his career with BMW AG as a Graphic Designer.  Mr. Peters worked in North America and ultimately accepted a role at Montana Steele Advertising in Toronto, Canada. During his time in Canada, due to Mr. Peters’ love for wine, he enrolled at Caps Professional Sommelier Certification Program in Ontario, Canada.  It was here where Mr. Peters cultured the skills necessary to acquire the knowledge and experience about different wines from all over the world, including Gluhwein or Hot Mulled Wine, the traditional wine from his home country.  
 

Fate, fortitude, and Facebook brought these two gentlemen together and they are now bringing this chic, innovative, yet traditional European wine, which has never been packaged or branded, to the United States.  The Edelheiss Wine Team has plans for expansion to other countries after its initial launch in North America.
